Mantles - How To Use
Use For Buffs!
Mantles grant the hunter useful skills and effects that help in fighting monsters and completing quests. Some Mantles provide additional protection while others provide immunity to fatal status effects. Bringing the Mantle is important as it can make monsters and quests easier to beat.
Using & Equipping Mantles
How To Equip Mantles

You can bring Mantles to the field by first equipping them to your loadout through the Item Box. You can activate their effects in the field by selecting them through the item wheel.
Watch Out For Cooldowns!
Although you can use Specialized Tools like Mantles multiple times whenever you're in the field, they do have recharge times that prevent their usage for a specific duration. You have to wait for the recharge time to finish before you can use them again. Becareful not to waste their effects and use them only when you need them!
One Mantle At A Time
You can only equip one Mantle at a time. Using another Mantle while another is still in effect unequips the current one and triggers its cooldown.

Select Specialized Tools When Changing Equipment
You can use Specialized Tools when you change your equipment from the Item Box or the Workshop. You can also save your Specialized Tools as part of your Equipment Loadout.
Increase To 2 Specialized Tool Slots After Main Story
After you complete the final quest and defeat your first Xeno'jiiva, you'll be rewarded with an additional slot to carry another Specialized Tool.
Check Out Fastest Way To Finish Main Story!Equip From Item Menu During Hunts
You can equip a mantle or place a booster down by selecting it from your item menu during a hunt. You can check the menu at the lower-right corner of the screen.
Don't Forget To Unequip When Effect Expires
Mantles take a while to recharge before you can use them again and this cooldown begins after you remove the mantle. Make sure to unequip it as soon as the effect expires to automatically start the cooldown.
Use 'Tool Specialist' Skill To Lessen Cooldown
The 'Tool Speciality' skill can be used to lessen the recharge time of both mantles and boosters. If Specialized Tools are important in your gameplay, it's recommended to have this skill equipped & activated. Gambling taking over my life.
